AN ART OF US

art
Life was an empty canvass before you came,

Boring, lifeless — shades of happiness tamed.

Not a single subject and figure sketched in it,

So I preferred perfectly mixing the shades of few tints.Made sure I’ve defined their intensity flawlessly,

Made sure I’ve defined their intensity flawlessly,

Washed my brushes for the traces of the past carefully.Smiled, hoped and to God silently whispered my prayer,

Smiled, hoped and to God silently whispered my prayer,

For him to give me the subject I longed to picture.

For him to give me the subject I longed to picture. And He gave me you.

And He gave me you.Not one but two.

Not one but two.You were my subject — yes.

You were my subject — yes.But you drew some curves on my straightened lips,

But you drew some curves on my straightened lips,

Changed the blueness of my eyes into a glow of brown,

Curled and rolled my hair into a toss and gone overblown,

I know I will never let you go my subject, my dearest love.

I know I will never let you go my subject, my dearest love.Because you colored the world all out great which I now have,

Because you colored the world all out great which I now have,

And it’s awesome, perfectly an art of US…
